“I Choose Loving’ by Maite Nazario
To choose loving is to be one with the symphony of life.
Loving yourself will allow you to shine bright in your truth, therefore spreading your rays of love upon others.
To love others is to respect that everyone has their own path, and we all have something to learn from each other's differences.
We should love and celebrate each other and the beauty of all of us existing at the same time.
With this piece, I wanted to depict each individual in their own distinct role in the cycle of love and life, and how we thrive from loving each other's uniqueness.

“Yo Elijo Amar” por Maite Nazario 
Elegir amar es ser uno con la sinfonía de la vida.
Amarte a ti misme te permitirá brillar en tu verdad y, por lo tanto, dispersar tus rayos de amor sobre les demás.
Amar a les demás es respetar que cada une tiene su propio camino, y todes tenemos algo que aprender de las diferencias de les demás.
Deberíamos amarnos y celebrarnos unes a otres y la belleza  que es todes nosotres existiendo al mismo tiempo.
Con esta pieza, quería representar a cada individue en su propio papel distintivo en el ciclo del amor y la vida, y cómo prosperamos con amar la singularidad de les demás.

About the artist:

Maite Nazario is queer, non-binary, Guatemalan, and Puerto Rican multidisciplinary artist and activist based in Atlanta. Their practice includes painting, murals, graphic design, and art directing. As a testament to their love, Matie creates art about their queer and trans community, that in turn becomes a way for Maite to love themselves.

Maite Nazario es una artiste y activiste multidisciplinarie queer, no binaria, guatemalteca y puertorriqueña radicada en Atlanta. Su práctica incluye pintura, murales, diseño gráfico y dirección de arte. Como testimonio de su amor, Matie crea arte sobre su comunidad queer y trans, que a la vez se convierte en una forma de que Maite se ame a sí misme.
