Submission Guidelines
Zero Transphobia & Trans Power In Diversity Art Call
Theme: Queer Youth Liberation! Imagining Abundant Queer and Trans Futures
Eligibility:

Open to all trans and gender non-conforming Latine individuals aged 13-25 residing in the United States and its territories.

There is no fee to apply.
Submission Requirements:

Artwork: Must be 2D work, such as paintings, drawings, photography, or printmaking.

Originality: All submissions must be original artwork created by the artist.

Theme: Artwork should visualize a queer/trans liberation—exploring the worlds, relationships, and communities possible with unapologetic acceptance of intersectional identities.

Digital Format: Submissions should be in high-resolution digital format (e.g., JPEG, PNG, PDF).
Submission Process: (The form will go live on October 1st; here's what information will be collected)

Upload your artwork: Follow the instructions on the Google form to upload your artwork and complete the required information.

Describe who you are: Some demographic information will be collected on the form for our reporting purposes.

Describe your work: Title of piece, 250-word max, medium of choice, and price if the piece or prints are available for purchase.

Submit: Once you have completed all necessary fields, submit your application.
Judging Criteria: Judges will score each candidate from 1-10 based on the following.

Technical skill (you’ll be judged based on the mastery of your unique craft) 20%
-
Originality and creativity 20%
-
Adherence to the theme (40%)
-
The overall impact of the message communicated (20%)
Prizes:

The top three artists will receive the follow prizes:

1st place: $500
-
2nd place: $250
-
3rd place: $150

Submissions Accepted: October 1st - November 1st, 2024

Virtual Gallery Launch: November 18th, 20224
Additional Notes:

All submissions that adhere to these guidelines will be featured in a virtual gallery for a month.

Winners will be invited to participate in an artist talk on Trans Day of Remembrance, November 20th at 1 PM EST.

Zero Transphobia reserves the right to use submitted artwork for promotional purposes.

By submitting artwork, artists agree to the guidelines and terms laid out above.
